Music Powered Strategies was started in 2010 by Greg Brent as a way to
combine his musical passions with his business background. Greg’s passions have been in music ever since he was young. He’s played in several groups through the years, either singing or playing varied instruments, in various genres and venues.
While his “day” jobs have had Greg primarily in the business world, at a well-known non-profit and a large computer company, Greg knew he needed to get back to the areas he thinks about the most and take a “frozen” dream, “thaw” it out and take it to the next level. His journey started in 2008 where it led him to the Berklee College of Music and their fantastic Music Business and Artist Management curriculum where he has studied with people such as George Howard, Ron Decker and Bob Baker.
The 3 areas Greg enjoys being involved in are:
- Helping and encouraging young bands/artists plan, market, and promote themselves by cutting through the maze of options in the “new” world of music and helping them to focus their time and energies.
- Playing the guitar and bass. “I love to play, practice, and listen to great music.”
- Using the Power of Music to impact people’s lives. “My ultimate dream is to take music – one of the most powerful and impactful mediums — and use it to highlight the great non-profits and other serving opportunities in our communities in such a way that fans will be motivated to act and help those in need in the U.S. and around the world.”
